You are right! So for today’s tech snack, I wanted to talk about a tool that helps teachers find relevant content in a timely manner. The tool can be found at the following url:
http://www.watchknowlearn.org/
What is it?
Watchknowlearn is an online source that allows you to search for educational video content and allows you to house that content in one location. This is a great site because who has time to go through all the junk on youtube for a video that might be a good fit for your classroom? What makes this site unique is that you can filter your search result so that the videos you find are very specific. You can filter the results by age and subject matter.
The issues with e-mail aside, this is still an excellent way to find quality educational videos that you can use in your classrooms. You don’t need to have a login name or password to search the entire video database/library. If you want to have the videos you find in one location, I would recommend using blendspace, tizmos, or only2clicks to host them.
So, this snack as a little funny after taste(account difficulties), but still a good resource for finding content. Until we meet again in the café…
