Now, onto the tech snack of the week….
Online videos have changed the way we share videos. There seems to be an endless supply of online video content that we can use with our students. One of the problems that arises from using online videos, however, is that you may only want to share portions of the video to your students. Another issue that arises with online videos, is that you may want to use more than one video during a class session. If only there was way that you could easily clip videos so you can share only the content you want and also add multiple videos on one file….oh wait there is! Today’s tech snack allows users to clip videos as well as add content to them.

What is it and how does it work?
Reelsurfer is a Web 2.0 tool that allows people to clip online videos as well as add other online video files to an existing file. The tool uses a simple click and drag interface. To begin using the tool, create a free account. After you create your free account, click on the create clip button that will be at the top of your page. Then you can either type in keywords for the video you are trying to search or copy and paste the direct video url in the input box( Vimeo and youtube videos work with this.)
