What is it and how can I use it?
Typeform is an online site that gives teachers the ability to create quick online forms, surveys, polls, questionnaires, and quizzes. To start using typeform, first create a few account. Then you will have a choice of premade templates or you can make your own form. All forms use a simple click and drag interface. Simply click on the item you want in your form and drop it on the form. The drag and drop features make it easy to add and personalize content such as different question choices, images, backgrounds, and more.
***Full Disclosure: You can't use mobile devices to create forms on typeform, however, any form you create can be accessed via url on any Internet Enabled device. (So in other words, you need a desktop or laptop to create forms but anyone can receive a form on any device.) ***
Typeform has free and paid plans. You get a lot of options with the free plan, but regardless of which plan you pick, you get unlimited responses for any form you create.
This free tool is a great way to identify a value or rating of various items. Since students do not need to create accounts to submit answers, you can use this tool with all grades from K-12th. With the younger grades, for example, you can have students answer questions about their favorite animals and why (such as fluffy/ferocious) or favorite colors and mood. Then you can use the results to help teach students about bar graphs or pictographs.
