So what makes this tool different from the ones listed above?
While all the tools listed above allow for digital publishing, Flipsnack is unique in that it allows you to edit and add content to a published document. The ability to add content within a publication takes digital sharing to another level. Flipsnack edu is a solely dedicated space for teachers and students. This space provides teachers with a private, secure learning environment. With Flipsnack edu, you can upload pdfs, add content, and share your publications via url or an embed code. In addition, you can create classes for your students. Students can then access your publications and create their own.
*Note: Flipsnack and Flipsnack edu -while run by the same company- are two different applications. Flipsnack is more for businesses while Flipsnack edu is specifically for educators. Click here to learn more about the differences between the two.

Creating an account on flipsnackedu is free. You simply go to the website, and click on register to create an account. You just need an active email account and a password to start your account. After you have created your account, you will see your teacher dashboard where you can add students, a group and create your own publication. When you create a publication, you can upload an existing pdf or jpeg then add content. You can also create a publication from scratch and share it as well.
There are several ways to share your publications with your students. If you just want your students to view your publications, you can share your publications via a url link or embed code. If you are using this method, students DO NOT need to create an account to see what you have published.
If you want students to be able to access your publications as well as make their own presentations, they will need an account on flipsnackedu. Student accounts are created by the teacher. Flipsnackedu offers both free and paid plans. For a free plan you can create an unlimited amount of flip books, though you can only add ten students. A paid account for 30 students is $32 a month. Flipsnackedu also offers school licenses as well.
