What is it?
Studio Stupeflix is a free online video creation tool. What makes this tool unique is that is 100% web based and therefore no software needs to be downloaded to your personal device to use it. It will work on any Internet-enabled device including laptops, tablets, smartphones and iPads. **
**Note: Studio Stuepflix does offer a free app for the iPad, but it will also run on Safari (iPad’s browser) without the app. The app is only useful if you want to access your iPad’s built in camera. Other than that, there is no difference between using Studio Stuepflix via Internet browser or app.**
How does it work?
Studio Stupeflix is free to use and you can make an unlimited amount of online videos up to 20 minutes each! There is a paid component for business use that offers some more features but for this blog entry I will concentrate on the free ones. Since Studio Stupeflix is completely web-based, all videos are stored online and can be shared via url link. You can start creating videos right away without a username and password—though you can make a free account. Making an account just makes it easier to access your videos and edit them. Without an account, you can access your videos via a url link but if you have a lot of videos this can be problematic. With an account you can easily see all the videos you have created in one place and edit, remove videos as needed. A username and password is needed to create an account.
Studio Stupeflix has a simple interface and is similar to the way iMovie is organized for iPads. To begin creating videos, you must first pick a theme. After that, you can then add content to your video. You can pictures and videos, slides, maps and transitions. You simply click on the plus sign and then decide what kind of content you want to add. You can add content from cloud sources, social media accounts and your personal device.

Classroom implications
Studio Stupeflix is a great tool to provide and create your own instructional videos. It is also a good way that students could also create their own videos for project based assessments. Using an education account, you can create one class account and therefore have access to all your student videos. You can also use this tool to create a blended or flipped learning environment, and therefore, give students time to absorb information about content since they can view videos from home(which allows for more class time for individualized learning).
